Medium:  Black Spanish marble, Red Italian marble, Hard Gray Italian marble, Italian stone. Dimensions:  5 cows. Each: approx. H. 5 ft. x L. 7 ft. (4 tons). Inscription:  (On plaques in the ground near each cow:) Lucy/Margaret/Annette/Elsa/Ruth unsigned Description:  Five stylized sculptures of cows installed in a large area of a public park. They are in various poses of standing, reclining and grazing. Near each cow is a plaque bearing her name. Subject:  Animal -- Cattle Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Texas -- Dallas Sculpture Owner:  Administered by City of Dallas, Department of Park & Recreation, Division of Cultural Affairs, 1925 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas 75201 Located Trinity Lake Park, Sylvan Drive & the Trinity River, Dallas, Texas Remarks:  Commissioned by Trammell Crow specifically for Trinity Lake Park as a gift to the City of Dallas. The cows were carved in Italy with the help of artisans using diamond drills, angle grinders, hammers, chisels and sandpaper.
