    Remarks: 
    Henry Niles Pierce was born on Oct. 19, 1820 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the son of Benjamin Bentley and Susan (Walker) Pierce. On April 18, 1854, he married Nannie Hayworth Sheppard. He was the Bishop of the Episcopal Dioceses of Arkansas from 1870-1899. He died on Sept. 5, 1899 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, while filling in for a vacationing clergyman.
