Remarks:
The fountain was selected in the fall of 1919 from a J. L. Mott Iron Works catalog and was erected on July 29, 1920, a gift of Frank W. Corliss of Omaha, Nebraska, a former resident of Richford. The fountain was originally located in a park on Main Street. Sometime in the 1950s, the neighboring streets were re-cemented and the park reconfigured. Water was turned off in the fountain several years later and, in 1958, flowers were planted in the fountain basin. In 1966, the fountain was restored. In 1988, the fountain was hit in a traffic accident and was removed and put in storage. Funds are now being raised for its restoration. IAS files contain related unidentified newspaper articles and a copy of a J. L. Mott Iron Works catalog, which illustrates the fountain.
