A two-piece sculpture composed of a small boy and a squirrel sitting on a wall facing each other. The boy, with short hair and bangs, is dressed in a pullover sweater, long pants with flared legs and shoes. His proper right leg and foot are tucked under his proper left leg. His proper left foot is dangling, not quite touching the ground. In his proper right hand, he holds a half-eaten apple out to the squirrel. In his proper left hand, he holds an open book in his lap. His head is turned to his proper right as he watches the squirrel in wonderment. The squirrel's tail is raised straight in the air with a small curl at the end as it gazes expectantly at the apple. The squirrel's front paws are planted on the wall, while the back portion of its body rests on its hind legs. The sculpture has a green patina. Seats are attached to the side of the L-shaped wall.
