    Description: 
    A dancer stands poised on the toes of her proper left foot, her proper right leg raised and flexed behind her. The dancer is twirling, holding a spiraling ribbon with her raised proper right hand. The ribbon curls down around her proper left arm, under her proper left wrist, and finally swirls around her proper left ankle. The sculpture has a warm brown patina. The sculpture is mounted on square light gray marble base.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture cost $8,500 and was a joint venture sponsored by the Arts Experiment Station, the Tifton-Tift County Arts Council, and the Tifton-Tift County Public Library, with support from the Georgia Council for the Arts, and Target Industries. The sculpture was created at the Golden Gallery in Tifton which was open for the public to watch the artists at work. The artists also held a workshop for interested community members. A nearby plaque reads: "JOY"/DON HAUGEN & TEENA WATSON/SCULPTORS ABRAHAM BALDWIN/ARTS EXPERIMENT STATION/TARGET STORES/TIFTON-TIFT COUNTY/ARTS COUNCIL/TIFTON-TIFT COUNTY/PUBLIC LIBRARY/DEDICATED MAY 3, 1991. The sculpture was dedicated as the Grand Finale event during Tifton's annual "Love Affair" event held on May 5, 1991. Phil Hutzelman of Atlanta cast the sculpture.
