Two identical north and south facades. The central entry is flanked by fluted columns, which appear to support a barrel-vaulted arch. Above each storefront window is a panel with a heavy, sagging garland around an oval cartouche, symmetrically strung between two lion heads carved in high relief. A similar garland and cartouche motif appears over the entrance archway. Testing on the cornice is a limestone tablet. Atop the tablet is a single carved basket of fruit, overflowing with garlands which spill out of the basket and down the facade.

    Remarks:
The building was designed by Daniel H. Burnham of Chicago and the facade was sculpted by J. W. Quayle and Fred Edler. The building was built by the Terre Haute Traction and Light Company, the ground floor serving as a terminal area and to board interurban transit. From Dec. 1, 1949 until the late 1960s, the Terminal Arcade served as the city bus station. IAS files contain a copy of the National Register of Historic Places Inventory Nomination form for this piece and an unidentified article describing the sculpture as a landmark in Wabash Valley.
