    Remarks: 
    Born in Salem, Massachusetts, the son of Judge William Prescott and Catherine Green (Hickling) Prescott. In 1820 married Susan Armory, the daughter of Thomas C. Armory and Hannah (Linzee) Armory. He was a historian who lived in Boston with his wife, two sons, and a daughter. Died in Boston.
