Formerly located Clarksville High School, Greenwood Avenue, Clarksville, Tennessee
    Remarks:
Statue bought by auxiliary of American Legion in Clarksville. SOS! surveyor indicates unidentified newspaper articles refer to statue as either Georgia marble or carved in Italy from Italian marble, but believes sculpture to be of softer, more porous material. Statue was relocated to its current site in 1972, when the old Clarksville High School was sold. IAS files contain articles from the Clarksburg Leaf-Chronicle, Oct. 30, 1928 and June 9, 1929.
