A young boy stands in turn-of-the-century dress. He is wearing a cap, an open-necked shirt with rolled-up sleeves, and pants rolled up to his knees. His pants are held up with one suspender. He wears one boot on his proper left foot and carries the other boot on his proper right shoulder with his hand. The sculpture rests on a circular foundation surrounded by a hedge and flowers. A text plaque sits before the sculpture.

Located Tacoma General Hospital, Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and Health Center, Memorial Garden, Tacoma, Washington

The Mary Bridge Hospital and Health Center opened in 1955 and the sculpture was present in the garden in 1958. Sculpture was commissioned by the Tacoma Orthopedic Association and the Center. The Memorial Garden was dedicated in October, 1992.
