    Bust of a uniformed Confederate soldier with a moustache and sideburns, wearing a billed cap. The bust is painted a copper color and mounted upon a stepped base that is painted cream white.

    Remarks: 
    The bust commemorates the unknown Confederate soldier that was killed at the site on April 2, 1864, at the Battle of Crump's corner, and whose grave lies before it. It was commissioned and donated by the Gamma Psi Chapter Kappa Alpha Order, Northwestern State University. The site was known as Rebel Park when the bust was dedicated at the Ninth Memorial Day Service in 1970. IAS files contain: "Souvenir History-Picture Book, Rebel Park, Marthaville, LA.," published spring 1977.
