The bust is painted a copper color and mounted upon a stepped base that is painted cream white. It was commissioned and donated by the Gamma Psi Chapter Kappa Alpha Order, Northwestern State University. The site was known as Rebel Park when the bust was dedicated at the Ninth Memorial Day Service in 1970.
