    Description: 
    Sculpture consists of an allegorical figure of Liberty seated on a granite pedestal with bronze portrait relief on front, and flanked by allegorical figures on both sides, including figures of a laborer, mother and child, knowledge, prosperity, legislature, victory and the Republic.

    Remarks: 
    Erected by the State Legislature, citizens and school children of Iowa and friends in honor of Senator William Boyd Allison. Weitz Co. did the foundation work for Presbrey-Coykenall. Longman won the commission after a competition in 1914.
