Description:
The Virgin Mary stands barefoot, wearing robes and a veil, stepping on a serpent. The statue is mounted upon a pyramidal base with an inscription on the front. Statue is surrounded by several granite markers listing the names of contributors, as well as a separate marker that lists the dedication date.

Remarks:
Reverend John McDonnell, pastor of St. Peter's, selected the style of the statue during a 1982 trip to Rome. It was dedicated and blessed by Bishop Leo E. O'Neill of the Springfield Diocese. Statue was installed at the same time that the church celebrated the 60th anniversary of its consecration. For related article see: The Berkshire Courier (Massachusetts), May 26, 1983, pg. 3.
