Medium:  Tools within a screened arch, painted green, tools imbedded in concrete walkway and ceramic tiles on steps. Dimensions:  Approx. 14 x 28 x 16 ft. Inscription:  (On plaque:) REAL TOOLS/Barbara Grygutis/Copyright 1992/Commissioned under Minnesota Percent for Art in Public Places/with additional support from/Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board/City of St. Paul/St. Paul Technical College/and numerous volunteers unsigned Description:  Sculpted landscape consists of a hollow screened arch, a semi-circular stepped area and a walkway from the sculpture to the sidewalk. The arch has tools floating in its caged interior, which are illuminated by lights internally from below. The walkway has tools imbedded in it. The tools and arch are painted green which match the tiles of the stepped area.
