St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 18 Ellicott Street, In front, Batavia, New York 14020
    Remarks:
The sculpture was donated to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church by Reverend Frank J. Knab, a former pastor, who purchased it in 1987 for $2,200 through the Gibarry Trading Company of Long Island City, New York. The sculpture was originally made by Vincenzo, Demetz, Figlio of Italy for a church in New Jersey, which decided later that they could not use it. Reverend Knab had the marble base designed and built by Salvatore (Sam) Scarlotta of the Atlantic Marble Company of Rochester, New York at a cost of $2,000. The Botticino marble for the base came from Italy. The sculpture was dedicated during the May crowning ceremony with St. Mary's school children participating.
