Mary stands wearing robes and a veil with a decorated border. She holds her hands outstretched in front of her with palms upward and steps on an open-mouthed snake with her proper left foot. The figure is mounted on a brick base topped with a slate slab.

The sculpture cost between $1,100 and $1,200. It was donated by St. Ann's Guild, a group of women in the parish. The women raised money to purchase the figure. The sculpture replaced an earlier, nearly identical one, which was located on the same base but broke.
