    Description: 
    Mary stands wearing sandals, robes and a veil with the baby Jesus in her arms. Jesus lies in Mary's arms, he has curly hair and a sheet covering him from his waist to his ankles. He holds on to Mary's veil with his outstretched proper right hand. There is a wreath of small electric lights placed around Mary's head. The sculpture is mounted on a cylindrical base and placed under a steep gabled shelter with a decorated back wall.

    Remarks: 
    Sculpture was given by Father Leo Plante, his brother and two sisters in memory of their mother, Claudia Plante (1881-1956). Father Plante was pastor in Hillsboro from 1952 through 1975. This sculpture replaced a previous one that had deteriorated from exposure to the elements. The sculpture was probably purchased in Canada.
