Statue: stone, painted; Base: granite and brick.

Statue: approx. 64 x 34 x 21 in. not including 8 in. high octagonal base; Brick base: approx. 3 ft. x 32 in. x 32 in.

A figure of the Virgin Mary, dressed in long belted robes, a veil, and a cloak fastened at the neck with a brooch. She stands upon a sphere which is adorned with eleven stars. Her proper right bare foot rests on the neck of a serpent and her arms are extended, palms facing up. Beneath the sphere is an octagonally-shaped lower base. The sculpture rests atop a square granite block on top of a brick base.

The statue was formerly located in front of the school. It was refinished and moved to the front of the gym when the gym was constructed in 1990. The brick base was created in 1990.
