THE STATUE IS MADE OF FIBERGLASS./POLASEK USED ONLY ONE HAND TO EXECUTE/THE WORK, HIS LEFT HAND BEING DISABLED./IT WAS DONE IN HIS 85TH YEAR OF LIFE, IN 1963,/AND IS A GIFT OF THE ARTIST TO SAINT LEO/FOR ITS OWN MEMORIAL.
