Inscription:  (Emblems appear on each of the figure's bases) unsigned Description:  Figures of Mary and Joseph are placed in arched niches flanking an entrance to a chapel. Mary stands on the left, cloaked in robes, with long, hair, her hands folded to her chest in prayer. Her proper left foot stands on the neck of a snake, a rose at its head. Joseph stands on the right, cloaked in belted robes with sandals, holding a long-stemmed lily in his proper right hand. In his proper left hand he holds an axe handle at waist level, its head resting beside his proper left foot.
