He wears a bowler hat and sits cross-legged with the saw in his lap. He holds the bow in his proper right hand and holds the end of the saw in his proper left hand. The sculpture was originally installed in Scope Park and was moved and rededicated in 1993. Mr. Scribner was also a lumberjack and union organizer. He died in 1982 at the age of 83.
