Description:
The central panel features Saint George, the knight dressed in armor, as he stands atop a dragon. He holds a spear in his proper right hand and a shield in his proper left hand. To the upper left is a portrait of Rear Admiral Bertram J. Rogers, below him is a servicewoman and to the right are two servicemen. Two small eagles flank the top portion of the relief and a larger eagle spreads its wings at the bottom of the inscription. Two honor roll panels flank the center relief panel.

Remarks:
Parish and local community donations paid the five thousand dollars for the commission. The memorial was restored in 1991. Inscription on plaque located on the wall next to the left panel reads: THE WORLD WAR II MEMORIAL PLAQUE WAS RESTORED IN 1991/WITH THE GENEROUS DONATIONS OF THE DEVOTED PARISHIONERS/AND FRIENDS OF SAINT GEORGE CHURCH/OUR GRATEFUL THANKS/FATHER ALBERT SEMLER, PASTOR/THE RESTORATION COMMITTEE/HELEN BANEY, BERNICE COUNTS, ROBERT KRESS,/MARY LONGO, WAYNE WYANT/RESTORATION WORK DONE BY PAUL KIEFER & SON PAUL
