    Description: 
    Full-length figure of Chief Decorah stands on a low square base. The figure wears buckskin clothing including moccasins and an elaborate feathered headdress and breastplate. His proper right arm is raised as though in greeting and he holds a peace pipe crooked in his proper left arm. The figure is made of Portland cement except for the clothing fringe and feathers in the headdress, which are made of galvanized windmill blades.

    Formerly located Mystery Cave, Preston, Minnesota 1950-1989
    Remarks: 
    Executed in the 1940s, the sculpture was purchased in 1950 by Clarence Prohaska. According to Mr. Prohaska, the sculpture was dedicated by Winnebago Indians from Albert Lea, Minnesota, during a pow wow on the site of the piece's original location. IAS files contain a related article from the Spring Valley Tribune, May 31, 1989.
