Inscription:  (On plaque on front, vertical surface of base:) RODNEY CARROLL/SUBVATOR/1989 Description:  Three silhouetted figures, a woman and two men, descending in an elevator. The figures terminate at about hip level into a three-tiered rectangular base. Above the elevator framework are two sets of beams, cables and pulleys which "operate" the elevator. The figures, machine parts and pulleys are painted black. The elevator frame is painted green-gray, and the cables are painted silver.
