    Description: 
    An abstract sculpture made from red-painted steel tubing welded into giant loops that resemble the curved rows of stitches on a softball. The sculpture is mounted on two reinforced concrete footings.

    A nearby plaque reads: "Stitches"/by T. Barny/Dedicated August 11, 1989/Welded Steel. The sculpture cost approximately $8,132. It was designed by T. Barny of TBarny Designs and fabricated by F&M Welding. The concrete footing was provided by Hammercraft. IAS files contain the artist's sculpture proposal and installation blueprints.
