    Remarks: 
    Erected to the memory of Sister M. Francesca Brownlee by the classes of 1941 through 1947 of St. Joseph Academy. Mother Elizabeth Ann Seton, 1774-1821, founded the Sisters of Charity in the United States in 1809. She was later canonized as the first saint from the United States. The dedication date, May 28, 1959, marks the sesquicentennial of the founding of the order.
