Hands of the Past, Minds of the Future, (sculpture). Artist:  Wolfe, Tom, sculptor. Title:  Hands of the Past, Minds of the Future, (sculpture). Dates:  Sept.-Dec. 1992. Dedicated Jan. 1993. Medium:  Mild steel. Dimensions:  Approx. 4 ft. x 15 ft. x 1/4 in. Inscription:  unsigned Description:  Five abstract human forms. Sculpture is located 15 ft. above ground on outside of building. The forms are rust colored. They represent the mythology of Native-American cultures from 1000 B.C. to 1900 A.D. The figure on the far left has special significance because he is believed to be Chief House. It is a Ute representational style petroglyph, ca. 1900. All five images are taken from petroglyphs from the Arizona area.
