    Description: 
    Eight bird-like creatures are installed on the front facade and roof of the Egyptian-style Scottish Rite Temple. Four two-headed birds of prey resembling falcons or eagles are mounted over the building's main entrance. Each bird bears the number "32" in an upside-down triangle upon its chest. Behind them, four smaller birds adorn the apex of the roof, each bird facing in a different direction.

    Remarks: 
    The Scottish Rite Temple was completed in 1924 at a cost of $350,000, which included purchase of the land. The Scottish Rite bodies of the Masons constructed the temple to house all of the Masonic organizations in the city of Miami. The Miami Consistory of the Masons owned the temple until around 1994 when it was purchased by Metro Dade County. IAS files contain related historical information from the Scottish Rite Temple.
