Hand-finished steel abstract fountain. It is in a circular shape depicting overlapping waves. The waves do not meet at the top; they are filigreed on the top of each wave and down the sides. The water comes out of six shelves inside the waves, which are like smaller waves. The fountain is on a concrete, metal and tiled base, with four lights inside the basin.

A sign inside the hospital states the fact that the work was donated by the auxiliary and that the artist was John Richen. IAS files contain information given by a hospital administration employee.
