Sculpture: approx. 5 x 3 x 1 1/2 ft.; Platform: approx. 1 1/2 x 2 x 2 ft.

Jesus stands barefoot, dressed in robes, the Sacred Heart emblazoned upon his chest, his hands upraised in a gesture of blessing. He stands upon a dome with an octagonal bottom rim. The sculpture is painted white, mounted upon a square platform.

Formerly located Old Peoples' Home, Above entrance, Avilla, Indiana 1896-1974.

Sculpture was originally sited two miles west of its current site above the entrance to the old Sacred Heart Home, known as the Old Peoples' Home, which was dedicated May 31, 1896.
