Description:
A series of conical steel bands that combine to give the appearance of a tornado. The 18 steel bands range from 18 inches to 10 feet in diameter. The sculpture is installed inside a round planter in front of The Center for the Arts at the Russellville High School.

The inscription on a bronze plaque installed inside the round planter at the base of the sculpture reads) THE CYCLONE / In 1924 the Russellville School district adopted the Cyclone as the enduring symbol of / strength and school spirit. On September 25, 2015, this sculpture of the school mascot was / dedicated to Wesley White ...a longtime administrator, School Board Member, supporter and / patron of the Russellville School District. Mr. White served as High School Principal from 1990 / - 2012. He was elected to the Russellville School Board of Education in 2012. He earned many / awards and honors during his time here and held office in several State and National Organizations. Wesley White truly epitomizes what it means to be a "Russellville Cyclone." / Awards & Honors in Administration / (list) / Professional Organizations / Offices (list) / (relief portrait bust) / WESLEY WHITE.
