    Remarks:
The cost of sculpture was a little under $2,000. It was partially funded by a grant from the Artists in Education Foundation which paid half of the artist's salary, with matching funds from the school. The Kerr Center for Sustainable Agriculture was also awarded a grant to buy materials for the sculpture. The school had funds earmarked for playground equipment when the artist presented the idea of "environmental sculpture that the children could play on," and it was accepted. The artist designed the sculpture with the help of the students. IAS files contain a related article from the Stone County Leader, Jan. 29, 1992, pg. 9.
