    Description: 
    Abstract installation consisting of two rows of 4" x 4" fir posts, or bollards, set upright in the ground in a park. The bollards are set about one foot on center, creating a fence-like appearance. There are 57 bollards in one fence, 45 in the other, varying in height from 4 ft. at each end of each fence to about 9 ft. in the middle. The upper ends of the bollards combine to form sweeping curves against the sky. Each fence is arranged in a serpentine pattern. The untreated bollards have weathered to a natural gray color. The ground in which they are set is slightly mounded and is planted.
