    Description: 
    A concrete relief mural forms one wall of the church. It is rectangular in shape, with peaked top, neutral gray in color, with sculptural elements appearing a bit darker. At the center of the relief is a tall, slender cross in high relief. Behinds the area where the two beams cross is a circle. On the left side of the cross are elongated hands, the upper hand with index finger pointing towards heaven. The lower hand rests in the upper hand. Rising lines and swirls fill the spaces around all sides of the cross.

    Remarks: 
    The relief was formerly located on the west wall of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation at Kellogg and Mission. In July 1994, when the property was sold for expansion, the mural and about 15 stone medallions also done by Frazier were removed and saved for the new church. IAS files contain related newspaper articles, including The Wichita Eagle-Beacon, 1952; Wichita Eagle, Aug. 13, 1994; excerpt from Wichita-Sedgwick County Arts & Humanities Council Newsletter, Oct. 1994; and excerpt from church "Celebration" brochure, 1952.
