    Description: 
    A standing World War I soldier dressed in his uniform carries a Springfield rifle in his proper right hand and a German helmet in his proper left hand. A gas mask hangs around his neck, and a bed roll, a shovel, and a canteen are strapped to his back. Around his waist is an ammunition belt. The sculpture rests on a square base.
