    Nearby plaque: "Nomad Totem Pole stands 30' high - weighs 850 lbs. This red cedar pole, carved only with hand tools by logger-woodworker Tim Davis in 1946 for Lawrence Kunkel of Seattle. First erected at Discovery Bay, Washington until 1952, then moved back to Seattle. In 1974 (transcription illegible) Gary Card acquired the totem pole, moved it to Edmonds and later donated it to the Edmonds Historical Museum in 1985. Erected on this site and presented to the City of Edmonds November 1987. Lawrence Naughton, Mayor. Edmonds-South Snohomish County Historical Society."
