Inscription:  (Bottom right corner of relief, incised:) (copyright symbol) T. Jay Warren 1994 (Bottom of plaque, incised and whitened:) PHILIP MORIN FRENEAU/FARM SITE/Philip M. Freneau, 1752-1832. Passionate poet and newspaperman lived on a farm at/this site in the years preceding his death. Noted for his caustic verse, he was anti-loyalist,/and later anti-federalist, in his sentiment. Called the "Poet of the American Revolution",/he was an associate of James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin signed Description:  Plaque featuring a waist-length relief of Philip Morin Freneau. He wears a moustache and a jacket, vest, shirt, and tie. His proper right hand holds a quill and his proper left hand holds folded paper. Below the relief are inscriptions.
