    Remarks: 
    Piece was inspired by an Indian poem written in the 1850's. In 1893 the piece was shown in the World Columbian Exposition in Chicago. In 1893 the piece was purchased by Captain and Mrs. Joseph Greenhut for their home in Peoria, Illinois. In 1925 they gave the piece to the Peoria Art Institute. When the Institute failed in 1932, the sculpture was given to the Peoria Park Board and put in storage for twenty years. It was moved to the Glen Oak Park Conservatory in 1952 and remained there until 1976.
