The Orange Show, (sculpture). Artist:  McKissack, Jeff, 1902-1980, sculptor. Title:  The Orange Show, (sculpture). Dates:  1968-1979. Medium:  Sculpture: mixed media including painted concrete, found objects, and ceramic tile. Inscription:  (Quotations by the artist are located throughout the installation) unsigned Description:  Site installation covering one-third of a city block. The installation is two stories tall and consists of many rooms, porches, and stairs. The installation is decorated with tile mosaics, tin cans, flags and concrete. Found objects such as a Santa, a fountain, a clown, an Indian and a scarecrow make up some of the installation. The installation includes a dinosaur exhibit, an oasis, a Confucious mosaic, an obelisk, a blacksmith shop, orange trees, a wishing well, steam engines and a pond. Whirligigs, tractor seats, carriage wheels and terrazzo tile benches are also incorporated. The installation celebrates the orange.
