Description:
Site installation covering one-third of a city block. The installation is two stories tall and consists of many rooms, porches, and stairs. The installation is decorated with tile mosaics, tin cans, flags and concrete. Found objects such as a Santa, a fountain, a clown, an Indian and a scarecrow make up some of the installation. The installation includes a dinosaur exhibit, an oasis, a Confucious mosaic, an obelisk, a blacksmith shop, orange trees, a wishing well, steam engines and a pond. Whirligigs, tractor seats, carriage wheels and terrazzo tile benches are also incorporated. The installation celebrates the orange.

Remarks:
The installation was created between 1968 and 1979. It was opened to the public on May 5, 1979. The found objects in the installation cost a total of approximately $40,000. IAS files contain copy of related Orange Show Foundation's "Visitors Guide to the Orange Show Foundation: an Annotated Tour". IAS files contain copies of related articles from The Houston Post, Oct. 31, 1991 and Texas: the Houston Chronicle Magazine, Nov. 26, 1989.
