    Description: 
    Stylized figure group of a man and woman laboring with hand tools over a large squared stone. They wear t-shirts and pants. The man wears a cap. They face in opposite directions of each other, bending over the stone and working the top of it with a hand tool. The marble sculpture stands on a granite base.

    The sculpture was donated to the city and was the first piece placed under Paramount's Outdoor Art Museum program. The sculpture was commissioned by Charles Lyons, Jr. IAS files contain copy of related articles from Paramount News Tribune, May 15, 1985; CSULB Review, May-June 1985; and Los Angeles Times, April 19, 1988. IAS files contain copies of related city brochures "Outdoor Art for All to See" and "Paramount's Outdoor Art Museum".
