    Two large granite boulders, with chiseled, lightly textured surface. The boulders are placed about 30 feet apart, one vertically-oriented; the other, horizontally-oriented.

    Remarks: 
    Funded with a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant of $40,000 given in 1977 to the City of Lincoln. The sculptures cost $80,000. Tem is the Egyptian God of Sunset, and Ptah the God of Sunrise. Sculptures have also been referred to as "Lump and Bump" and "Tem and Ptah, Sun Rising, Sun Setting." IAS files contain a partial transcription of a nearby plaque. IAS files also contain newsclippings from the Lincoln Star (NE), June 11, 1987, pg. 21, and June 16, 1989, and other related clippings. IAS file contains related excerpt from the brochure "Celebrate Lincoln Public Sculpture."
