Description:
Sculpture of a woman's head. Made of pieces of redwood lumber nailed together, the woman's face has strong angular planes. Her hair is made of tree branches. The tripod base is made of redwood lumber stabilized by large iron brackets.

Cost: $400. Lumber donated by Schoeneman Building Center. IAS files contain copies of unpublished archival material, an unidentified newspaper clipping, and an article from the Ames Daily Tribune (Ames Iowa), n.d. The unpublished material and the newspaper articles discuss the funding and creation of the sculpture.
