    Description: 
    A welded, scrap-metal sculpture of a dragon, with headlight eyes and snowplow wings. Its mouth is open and its wings are somewhat spread. The body is supported by an I-beam, with the legs off the ground, giving the appearance of just taking off or landing.

    The sculpture was created for the 1981 Lyle Dragon Festival of the arts, a festival conceived by the artist and his wife as a means of generating funds to support the Gladwin City Council of the Arts. IAS files contain a 1981 newspaper article from the Bay City Times.
