Description:
A mustached Union Civil War soldier stands in a sentry stance dressed in a greatcoat. He holds the barrel of a rifle with both hands, proper left hand over proper right. The butt of the rifle rests in front of his proper right foot. A cartridge pouch hangs from his belt at his proper right and a scabbard hangs from his belt at his rear proper left. The statue stands atop a tall multitiered base.
