    Description: 
    Two nearly identical reliefs, one the mirror image of the other, are installed on each wing of the school. Each relief is dominated by two large figures wearing robes. The astronomer on the right holds a telescope representing study of the heavens; the figure on the left with a growing plant and globe represents the study of the earth's natural and physical phenomena. Below the large figures are two smaller groups: the mother and child represent the early training of children; the teacher and group of older boys illustrates education in the schools.
