Description:
A colorfully painted abstract sculpture made from salvaged materials, with four, stacked, crushed water heaters with welded ends, and a twisted ladder to one side of them. The blocks are painted white with patches of red, pale blue, yellow, orange and black on one side, and mostly blues and white on the reverse side. The ladder is geometrically painted black and white. The sculpture is bolted to a grey-painted base plate, and mounted upon a two-tiered, rectangular base.

Remarks:
The sculpture was created under Norcal's first artist-in-residence program. The program was created to draw attention to the solid waste crisis and promote conservation of refuse. The sculpture was created from waste collected at the disposal facility and was part of an exhibition sponsored by Norcal Waste Systems and Victor Fischer Galleries entitled "Make Art, Not Landfill."
