    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a uniformed Civil War soldier stands atop an obelisk and short base. The figure's hands are extended in front, holding a musket with fixed bayonet. The gun butt rests on the ground.

    Remarks: 
    The names of the local war dead were originally incised on the four sides of the base. When the names became difficult to read due to surface loss, concerned local citizens funded the casting and installation of metal plaques with the same inscriptions. IAS files contain partial listing of names found on the inscriptions.
