Description:
Abstract sculpture suggesting the flowing forms of the Merrimack River. Large grey granite block sculptured with undulous wave contours, then intersected by four rectangular slabs of black granite. Emerging from crest is an aluminum plate cut to resemble the silhouette of clouds or splashing water. Black granite base is a solid rectangle.

Remarks:
IAS files contain artist's worksheet from New Hampshire Council on the Arts and dedication booklet for the Tech Center. Sculpture was commissioned in July 1984 for $10,000. The black Canadian granite was purchased from Rock of Ages Corporation; the grey granite was quarried from the John Swenson Granite Company.
