    Description: 
    A fountain with a figure of a nude boy riding a turkey, set at the back of the basin. The boy holds up a vessel with both hands on his proper right side. On the opposite side is a bronze relief plaque depicting Nels O. Nelson and inscribed with text; and at foot of base two frogs and another plaque inset onto a rectangular base.

    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain a brochure published by the Edwardsville Historic Preservation Commission which indicates that in 1930, LeClaire's existence as an independent village ended with its annexation into the City of Edwardsville and the neighborhood in the city has since been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. A close-up detail of the fountain appears on the cover of the brochure.
