Description:
Full-length figure of a Civil War flag bearer. He wears a uniform and cap. His proper right hand is crossed over to grab the hilt of the sword hanging at his proper left side. He holds the flag against his proper left side with his proper left arm. The sculpture stands atop a tall granite pedestal. Near the bottom of the pedestal are reliefs of military trophies including crossed sabres and an anchor. The pedestal ends in a two-stepped base. The outer edge of the bottom step is rough-hewn.
